Green spaces are good for our mental and physical health. They have the ability to fight climate change by capturing rainwater, improving air quality, and cooling our cities. But they're also excellent at facilitating social and environmental justice. Check out some TPL projects that truly do it all.

After decades of legal wrangling over a 2-mile stretch of coastline near Mailbu, Trust for Public Land has worked to permanently protect 1,280 acres of sage-covered slopes along the Pacific Coast Highway. With help from generous donors, the property could soon become part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, ensuring that southern Californians have unbroken access to this breathtaking coastal habitat.

Public lands sustain us. And it’s up to us to sustain them. Start 2023 off by protecting public lands for future generations and creating parks where they’re needed most. Your support is critical to permanently protecting 1 million acres of land and 1,000 miles of rivers and streams, creating 35 new high-quality parks, and connecting 1,000 miles of trails by 2025.
