Kevin McCarthy became Speaker of the House by making promises to the most extreme members of his party. Now we’re seeing the consequences of McCarthy's concessions.

After one month in power, we've seen nothing but utter dysfunction from the Republican House. No attempts to address the many issues facing our country like education, climate change, reproductive freedom, and gun control. Just political stunts, member-on-member scuffles on the House floor, and more chaos.

Republican extremists want to cut critical programs like Medicaid and Social Security, criminalize women’s health, and implement a 30% national sales tax. Their attention is clearly focused on partisan politics rather than the American people.
