It’s been a little over a week since we launched The Long Run, and we are so grateful for all the support we have received thus far.

When Mandela launched this PAC, our team didn't know what to expect. We didn't know if only 5 of you would step up to fuel our movement or if hundreds would. But we did know that this team has backed him before, and they would try their best to do so again.

One week later, we can tell you how many of you did step up to support him and our movement:

1,010 of you joined this team from the very start as Founding Donors. Folks from Wisconsin, California, New York, and everywhere in between stepped up to support our movement for changemakers.

Our first week was telling of just how much this team can accomplish this upcoming cycle. But the truth is, since our launch, our fundraising has slowed drastically. Just look where we landed yesterday:

That’s not where we want to be.

So we need to keep up the momentum. Because if we don't have the funding to continue fueling this movement, we won't have the ability to support crucial races that will determine the future of our democracy. Our democratic freedoms are at risk — from voting rights to reproductive autonomy — and there is too much at stake for us to sit back and do nothing.

We must step up to fight for candidates that will protect our planet, our freedoms, and our democracy. And there is no time to waste.
