Smiles

Mardi Gras is a huge smile in New Orleans and for many around the world who celebrate it. The Carnival season started a few weeks ago in the Crescent City and has been ramping up to full throttle starting today through Fat Tuesday. For me, Mardi Gras is always about the music. A great way to celebrate this year if you aren’t in New Orleans is to watch the fascinating documentary “Take Me To The River: New Orleans,” now available on Prime. Most of my favorite musicians are in the film and the soundtrack is off the charts. This video derived from the film featuring R&B singer Ledisi backed by Ivan Neville, Cyril Neville, Ian Neville, George Porter Jr., and Eric Krasno should get you into the spirit
