Dear Friend,
The United States has now shot down 4 aerial objects this month, leaving many Americans with questions about the events, including Members of Congress. The Biden Administration has not been transparent about the recent three objects, and officials have yet to offer clear information on why the first Chinese spy balloon was allowed to traverse parts of Alaska and the continental United States before the decision was made to destroy it. Members of Congress, including myself, are concerned about the potential exposure of military assets and infrastructure to foreign espionage. That's why I'm calling for transparency. I went on Newsmax's Spicer & Co. to discuss the aerial incidents we have seen to share the information I have learned about the events. You can watch the full interview below.
What I am concerned about is the fact that we saw — particularly with that first balloon — the amount of intelligence and the amount of data it was able to gather until this administration acted. That balloon should have been taken down the moment it entered the United States airspace. We should not have waited for it to clear across the continental United States, collect data, and send that data back to China. I'm glad to see that this administration has changed its tact, but I believe it was very irresponsible for the administration to allow the first balloon to travel across the United States before the Administration acted and brought that balloon down.
I also sat down with Frank Corder with the Magnolia Tribune and Greg Flynn with the City of Pearl to discuss the upcoming year in Congress and recap events that have happened so far. You can check out my conversations on the Speaker election, the inflation crisis, and the state of our southern border in the videos below.
