We have officially concluded our second annual
Valentines for Veterans & First Responders drive!
We collected nearly 4,000 valentines from South Sound students, families, and community members to thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice. These valentines will be distributed to veterans and first responders all across our district.
The valentines we collected were touching. These drawings, letters, and hand-made cards were each overflowing with words of love, encouragement and appreciation for the heroes we rely on.
As the daughter of a veteran, I grew up with a deep respect for all those who have served – and I know the challenges our servicemembers face. When I decided to run for Congress, I made a promise that I would be a strong advocate for military families and our first responders. And I’ve worked hard to live up to that promise.
