America is in crisis.
Last night, on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the Parkland school shooting, we got news of yet another mass shooting, this time on the Michigan State University campus.
There are so many mass shootings in our country that it is far too easy to become numb to them, to shut out the pain that so many families face. And it's not just mass shootings. On average, more than 100 Americans are killed with guns every single day.
We need action. I’m asking that you join President Biden in calling for Congress to BAN assault weapons. Sign on now: [[link removed]]
At Democrats Serve, we recruit, support, and train the public service professionals who experience first-hand the impacts of our gun violence crisis — from the teachers whose lives are endangered in school shootings to the first responders who walk into homes where gun violence has just happened to the counselors who help families cope with the aftermath.
We must not become numb. We must work together to keep our communities safe from gun violence.
