John,
Since Becca was sworn in as a member of Congress last month, she’s been fighting to defend Vermont’s values on the House floor.
Take a look at some of her votes so far:
- NO on the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act. This misleading legislation would repeal the IRS expansion laid out in the Inflation Reduction Act — leaving the IRS underfunded, understaffed, and without the resources to hold the ultra-wealthy accountable for paying their fair share.
- NO on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This farcical resolution is dangerous and unnecessary, and seeks to advance Republicans’ extremist agenda to restrict our bodies and reproductive healthcare.
- YES on the Energy Cybersecurity University Leadership Act of 2023. This bill establishes the Energy Cybersecurity University Leadership Program, which will provide financial assistance and resources to students studying cybersecurity related to energy infrastructure.
Becca is also the co-sponsor of critical legislation to bring Vermont’s values to the House floor — and to the rest of the country. Currently, she is cosponsoring legislation to require a background check for every firearm sale, ensure affordable abortion coverage and care for every person, and admit DC as a Commonwealth into the United States.
After being in Congress for just over a month, Becca is proving that she has our backs in Washington. Will you step up to show us that you have hers? Pitch in $5 or more to stand with Becca and support her critical work today.
