I know that for a lot of Republicans on the Hill their dream is to cut Social Security and Medicare.

Well, let me say this.

If that’s your dream, I'm your nightmare.

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) loudly and proudly explained his stance: "One thing that you probably haven’t ever heard from a politician: it will be my objective to phase out Social Security. To pull it up by the roots, and get rid of it.”

Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) is currently championing a plan to put Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security on the chopping block every five years.

And just this November, Senator John Thune (R-SD) said Social Security and Medicare benefits should be slashed.
