We try not to do too many rapid responses because we know you’re busy. But I know you believe we all deserve to live in a state free from pollution and waste littering our communities and waterways.

The Washington Recycling and Packaging #WRAPAct will address the growing amount of unnecessary packaging, much of which is plastic and not able to be recycled through Washington’s recycling programs. The WRAP Act needs your support.

Today, Feb 15, the WRAP Act will have a public hearing in the House Appropriations Committee meeting at 4pm. We need to show committee members that WRAP Act must pass!

The #WRAPAct will: 
✔️establish a single statewide list of what can & cannot be put in a recycling bin
✔️ improve transparency on what actually gets recycled
✔️ prevent valuable materials from ending up in the landfill
