Dear friend,
We have exciting news! We are partnering with America Indivisible for their upcoming leadership development program, the Public Leaders for Inclusion Council (PLC).
The PLC is for public servants in elected, appointed, and professional positions in local, county, and state government who are interested in challenging anti-Muslim bigotry and other forms of hate. Participants kick off the program in Washington, D.C. for a two-day summit where they meet other leaders from across the country from the private and public sectors. Afterwards, there are five monthly virtual seminars with leaders from prominent anti-bigotry and advocacy organizations.
While we are open to hosting leaders from all types of backgrounds, we are particularly interested in participants who come from outside of the Muslim community who are interested in becoming allies and building inclusion in their communities.
Since its start in 2019, the PLC has had 72 participants representing 27 different states (including D.C.). We hope to build on this network with the upcoming cohort this year!
There is a short application form that all participants have to complete in order to be considered. We strongly recommend that you complete it before the deadline on Sunday, March 19, 2023.
