Imagine journeying weeks to escape poverty, violence and persecution. You arrive in the U.S. tired and hungry, but hopeful — until your family is turned away. John, let’s make it loud and clear: We won’t stand for an asylum ban. [[link removed]]

Hi John,
Today, I’m passing on a few stories from asylum seekers.
They’re not an easy read — but with a transit ban on the horizon, I think it’s important that we listen.
The first is about a six-year-old boy and his mother. Turned away at the border, they trusted a man who promised shelter. He abused them for weeks, until they finally escaped through a window.
Before I continue, John, please send an urgent message: Denying asylum seekers puts children in unimaginable danger. [[link removed]]
In Mexico, two brothers were murdered by cartel members. Their family wasted no time fleeing — but their journey is on hold due to Title 42. “I am terrified they will kill us,” they shared. “We don’t have anywhere else to go.”
Last summer, another family awaited entry in a dangerous transit city. It didn’t take long for the husband to get attacked and killed — and soon after, his wife, infant and young nephews were threatened.
I could go on and on, John… there are thousands more devastating stories just like these. And if an asylum ban goes into effect, so many more kids will face the same fate.
Join me in fighting for a fair, compassionate immigration system! [[link removed]]
