Hi Friend,

Tomorrow, February 16 at 7 PM CT, Governor Abbott will deliver his State of the State address. And Friend, we’re looking forward to responding.

Immediately after the address, Texas Democrats’ response will be broadcast across the state. We'll feature everyday Texans -- along with local, state, and federal Democratic officials -- highlighting how Governor Abbott and Texas Republicans stand in the way of what's good for all Texans.

In our response, we’ll discuss the important policies Texas Democrats are fighting for -- like passing life-saving gun safety laws, fixing our electric grid, opposing Republicans’ private school voucher program, protecting the rights and freedoms of LGBTQ+ Texans, and expanding Medicaid. We’ll also highlight the efforts of President Biden and Texas Democrats in Washington to combat crime and secure our borders, invest in Texas infrastructure, make healthcare more accessible, back small businesses, and help veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits.
