Jack, President Biden is bringing diversity to the Federal judiciary, both in the personal and professional experiences of the judges his team has nominated. But even more importantly, he is setting a standard that future Presidents will have to live up to — that the Federal judiciary should look like the diverse nation we are!
This is a historic moment, Jack, and one that deserves to be celebrated. But the work of protecting, and continuing, this progress is far from over. In fact, the next two years will be even more important, because President Biden's nominees for states like Florida, Louisiana and Texas are sure to face opposition from Republican Senators.
