John: we're so excited to share: the Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee made LGBTQ history by voting to nominate Ashanti Martinez for the District 22 House of Delegates vacancy. Ashanti is now on track to become the first out gay Afro-Latino man to represent Prince George’s County in the legislature!

Ashanti has earned this nomination. He's spent almost a decade working as a passionate champion of working families, including time spent as the Co-Chair of PGC Pride and Chief of Staff to County Councilmember Krystal Oriadha, the first out LGBTQ Councilmember on the Prince George’s County Council. We know he'll continue to be an outstanding advocate for LGBTQ equality in the legislature!
