Recently, anti-abortion members of Congress signed an amicus brief asking the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, the decision that affirmed the federal constitutional right to abortion.

Eight of these members were asked by Reproaction if women should go to jail for self-managing their own abortions. Watch their responses and sign our petition now.

From Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) to Rep. Ron Wright (R-TX), the members of Congress we spoke to had disturbing and disappointing answers to the reality of people going to jail for self-managed abortion. If the right to abortion is gutted further in the June Medical Services v. Gee case before the Supreme Court, we can expect more people will face handcuffs because they simply didn’t want to be pregnant.

Abortion bans send people to jail, period. Sign our petition and demand no one be criminalized for abortion.
