Friend, over 37,000 lives have been lost in the earthquakes that struck Southeast Turkey (Türkiye) and Northwest Syria on February 6 -- this number could double as search and rescue efforts dwindle and bodies are recovered from the rubble.

Emre, pictured above, came to help affected communities. He told us, "What we have witnessed is something I've never seen before... We slept in the car yesterday, the temperature is below zero, and inside the car we were struggling with the cold. We look at people outside and just say how can they sleep in the street."

Meet Homero... the very good dog who deployed with our partner search and rescue team in Turkey, helping them search among the rubble. With thousands of homes and buildings destroyed, Homero worked hard to find every last person he could. It's this kind of work, in the most critical of moments of emergencies that your support makes possible.

Our Emergency Response Team has mobilized 100 infant incubators and is actively distributing thousands of blankets and sleeping bags, as well as 3,000 family and infant hygiene kits to earthquake survivors.
