Dear Friend,

Oxfam's shocking new report "Time To Care," was just released as political and business elites, including President Trump, head to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The report reveals that the world's billionaires have more wealth than 4.6 billion people who make up 60% of the world's population. This means that if everyone in the world were to sit on their wealth piled up in $100 bills, most of humanity would be sitting on the floor. A middle-class person in a rich country like the US would be sitting at the height of a chair. The world's two richest men would be sitting in outer space. Such dramatic income inequality is undermining the fight against poverty, damaging our economies, poisoning our politics, and fueling public anger across the globe.

We've all watched as Congress and this administration have exacerbated this inequality crisis by cutting taxes for the richest and for corporations, while simultaneously slashing public services - such as healthcare and education - that actually fight inequality. The only way to change this is to stand up and fight for the world we want to see.

For almost 80 years, people like you have stood with us and fueled Oxfam's mission to create a just and equal world with dignity for all, so we know we can count on you to show up to vote in the 2020 election. This election is our opportunity to take a stand for equality and opportunity for every single person.

Americans will have a chance to decide if they want a President who fights for everyone - not just the privileged few. Making sure every person casts a ballot will be essential, and leading research has shown that for a lot of infrequent voters, a simple reminder from a friend is all they need to get to the polls.

That's where you come in. Pledge to remind three people in your life about the importance of voting and making sure that when it matters, they show up to the polls. Text VOTE3 to 977-79, or fill out this form >>

P.S. Need more motivation to take action? Oxfam estimates that the richest 22 men in the world have more wealth than all the women in Africa, and that women and girls put in 12.5 billion hours of unpaid care work each and every day - a contribution to the global economy of at least $10.8 trillion a year, more than three times the size of the global tech industry.
