Friend,
I’m proud to be endorsed by End Citizens United with an A+ rating. Together, we are working to end the culture of corruption in Washington and get our democracy working for people again.
Today marks the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s disastrous
Citizens United vs. FEC decision. This decision made it legal for corporations and special interest groups to give and spend as much money as they want in order to buy candidates and politicians who will do whatever they want.
This, unfortunately, means not all donations are equal -- but when people come together and chip in what they can, we can collectively compete against massive spending by super PACs and special interests.
It takes a lot of $5, $10, and $25 contributions to compete with a six-figure check from a billionaire. So, please, if you can, chip in $5 or more today to stand with me in the fight to end Citizens United.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
As a candidate, I've never taken a dime from corporate PACs, because I'm beholden to no one but the constituents who elected me. Not the lobbyists. Not the special interests. Not the corporations.
You.
In Congress, I’ve backed and introduced legislation to end Citizens United and ban corporate PACs, because it’s past time for our democracy to work for people, not special interests.
And in this election, a GOP dark-money group declaring itself an “issue advocacy non-profit” has already spent $2 million to falsely attack battleground Democrats like me. And groups like these don’t have to disclose their donors to the public, hiding the people behind the money.
This is what we’re up against, friends.
So, on the anniversary of Citizens United will you please chip in $5 or more to help me build a campaign that can overcome the massive wave of Super PAC and dark money spending that we know is coming?
Thank you,
-- Antonio Delgado
