Here are some recent updates.

Today, the U.S. Senate confirmed President Joe Biden's 100th judicial nominee. Biden and Senate Democrats have confirmed 69 district court judges, 30 appellate court judges and one U.S. Supreme Court justice, building a more racially and professionally diverse federal judiciary. [link removed]

Last week, North Carolina Republicans introduced the Election Day Integrity Act, which would require all mail-in ballots to arrive by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. Currently, ballots that are postmarked by Election Day and arrive by 5 p.m. three days after are counted. Gov. Roy Cooper (D) vetoed an identical bill in 2021, but the North Carolina Legislature might have the votes to override a veto. [link removed]
