Fellow Democrats,
February is Black History Month, and we are proud to celebrate it. This time provides us an opportunity to uplift the progress that has been made and reflect on the struggles that our country continues to face. African Americans helped build our nation and our Democratic Party. As we celebrate Black History Month, we must remember that there is work left to do to fulfill the promise of a more perfect union.
In the spirit of celebration, we want to highlight and thank the African American Democratic County Chairs who volunteer their time, perspective, and talent to build our Party and elect Democrats throughout Illinois:
That is why today, we want to take the time to appreciate the African American Democratic County Chairs who work with us here at IDCCA:
- Hon. Belinda Carr (McDonough)
- Hon. Karl Coleman (Macon)
- Hon. Pam Davidson (Knox)
- Hon. Phillip Matthews (Alexander)
- Hon. Orlando McReynolds (Massac)
- Hon. Ken Mejia-Beal (DuPage)
- Hon. Toni Preckwinkle (Cook)
These are challenging times. And the work they do is more important than ever.
In solidarity,
Team IDCCA
