John,

We are grateful to Sen. Dianne Feinstein for her lifetime of service. First elected to the U.S. Senate in 1992, Feinstein broke a glass ceiling by becoming the first woman to serve as U.S. senator from California. She went on to achieve many more firsts including becoming the first woman to chair the Senate Rules and Intelligence committees and preside over a presidential inauguration.

Throughout her 30 years representing almost 40 million Californians, Feinstein has been a steadfast champion of gun violence prevention, tough government oversight to advance consumer protections and human rights, LGBTQ+ equality, and environmental protections. She was a critical voice promoting abortion rights and access to reproductive health care.

At EMILYs List, we salute Sen. Feinstein's dedication to the greater good.

Best,

Laphonza Butler
President, EMILYs List
