A team of University of Alaska Anchorage students will lead other students from across the state and beyond in 30-minute sessions of physical activity, from the Special Olympics Alaska Headquarters in Anchorage, via live stream.

Thousands of children from schools across the country will participate, in addition to guest two-way schools in Alabama, Connecticut, Colorado, California, Hawaii and Alaska. The thirty minute sessions will begin at the top of each hour, beginning 8:00 a.m. and concluding at 8 p.m. Alaska time.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is open for any schools or adult organizations wishing to take part at: http://plaay.org/plaay-day/.

Positive Leadership for Active Alaska Youth (PLAAY) is a program of the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame. The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Special Olympics Alaska and University of Alaska Anchorage Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department are major partners.
