DeGette pushes for national ban on high-powered guns
-WesternSlopeNow.com

In just the first month of 2023, 5,103 people have lost their lives in the United States to gun violence. This carnage is uniquely American, and every day we fail to take action, there is more death and suffering for our communities.

Diana believes that if we're going to end gun violence in America, we have to take it upon ourselves to stand up to gun special interest groups and protect our communities from high-powered guns. That's why she introduced a bill in Congress to ban high-powered firearms and high-capacity magazines.

Though the GOP is set on blocking this critical piece of legislation to appease the gun lobby, we KNOW it's what our country needs. In 1994, then-Senator Biden led the effort to pass an assault weapons ban, a bill that saved lives and reduced mass shootings in our country. When the bill expired in 2004, mass shootings tripled.

While it's going to take more than one bill to end the gun violence epidemic, Diana is committed to doing everything she can to pass a national ban on high-powered guns. Do you support this bill? Take our one-question survey NOW >>

Diana is relying on grassroots donors to continue fighting for Colorado values in Congress. Can we count on you to chip in $5 -- or whatever you can today -- to help her keep fighting?
