John, instead of reaching out about my campaign today, I’d like to talk about March for Our Lives and the Community Justice Action Fund
Five years ago today, seventeen lives were senselessly taken from us in the Parkland shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Their names are Alyssa Alhadeff, Scott Beigel, Martin Duque, Nicholas Dworet, Aaron Feis, Jaime Guttenberg, Chris Hixon, Luke Hoyer, Cara Loughran, Gina Montalto, Joaquin Oliver, Alaina Petty, Meadow Pollack, Helena Ramsay, Alex Schachter, Carmen Schentrup and Peter Wang.
Last night, Michigan State University also faced the pain of gun violence, a pain that is all too common across this country. My heart today is with Parkland & MSU as they continue & begin this lifelong journey of healing.
John, we must continue to honor them by fighting for a future free from gun violence.
I’m reaching out to you today to make a contribution to honor their legacy.
March for Our Lives is an organization very near to my heart. Founded by MSD High School students, MFOL is a courageous youth-led movement dedicated to promoting civic engagement, education, and direct action by youth to eliminate the epidemic of gun violence.
The Community Justice Action Fund works to reduce gun violence in Black and Brown communities by empowering leaders closest to the pain of gun violence and enacting comprehensive policy.
Will you make a charitable contribution to one or both of these incredible gun violence prevention organizations? >>
