Okay, we'll be honest with you, John. Both of us completely forgot it was Valentine’s Day. (Probably explains why neither of us have dates tonight...)
Our hearts have been too broken by everything going on in politics right now — from right-wing attacks on trans kids to the xenophobic ousting of Ilhan Omar from her House committee, from sensless shooting after senseless shooting to... do we really need to go on?
The point is that we haven’t really had much time to think about Hallmark cards, chocolates, or flowers. Instead, we’ve been busy turning our emotions into action and planning our strategy for empowering and electing working-class Democrats to CRUSH the far-right agenda.
Rather than daydreaming of a dozen red roses, we're focused on the dozens of progressive changemakers across the country who have what it takes to make a real difference in their communities and are considering running for office -- but lack the money to build campaigns that are strong enough to compete with the wealthy, elitist opponents who continue to stay in power.
That's where B/E comes in to help them break these socioeconomic barriers.
