John,
Times are tough right now, and I know it can be hard to find joy. We’re constantly bombarded by stories of extreme weather events, gun violence, attacks on our nation’s democracy, and discrimination of all sorts.
I entered public service because I care about these issues and the people they impact. But even for me, at times it can feel overwhelming. That’s why even in times of darkness, I always try to find moments of lightness.
Today I’ll be finding some time to celebrate Valentine's Day with my wife Elizabeth. She has been my rock and my refuge every day since embarking on this wild journey to Congress. And even after knowing and loving her for more than two decades, she still brings a smile to my face every time I’m with her.

This year, I’m also asking you to make my day by sending in a BALINTine 🥰 — a $5 contribution that we will use to continue building up our campaign. [[link removed]]

Thank you as always for your support. I hope you can take time today to be surrounded by your loved ones and find some joy!
