Featured Funding OpportunitiesDrug-Free Communities (DFC) Support ProgramThe DFC Support Program funds community-based coalitions that engage multiple sectors of the community to prevent youth substance use.The DFC Support Program provides grants up to $125,000 per year for five years to community coalitions to strengthen the infrastructure among local partners to create and sustain a reduction in local youth substance use. After five years, community coalitions may re-compete for another five-year cycle.Application period closes on April 11, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Apply Here!Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Treatment Grant ProgramsSAMHSA is announcing Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) for five grant programs aimed at preventing substance misuse and treating substance use disorder (SUD) throughout the nation. The five grant programs are:Grants to Expand Substance Use Disorder Treatment Capacity in Adult and Family Treatment Drug Courts – $32.4 million – This expands SUD treatment and recovery support services in existing drug courts. Adult Reentry Program – $13 million – This program expands SUD treatment and related recovery and reentry services to adults in the criminal justice system who have an SUD and/or co-occurring substance use and mental disorders, who are returning to their families and communities after being incarcerated.Medication-Assisted Treatment – Prescription Drug and Opioid Addiction Grant Program (MAT-PDOA) – $18.2 million – This program provides resources to help expand or enhance access to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). This program will help to increase the number of people who receive MOUD for their opioid use disorders and decrease illicit opioid use and prescription opioid misuse.Emergency Department Alternatives to Opioids Program (ED-ALT) – $6.8 million – This program develops and implements alternatives to opioids for pain management in hospitals and emergency department settings.Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking Act (STOP Act) Grants – $3 million – This program works to prevent and reduce alcohol use among youth and young adults ages 12-20 in communities throughout the United States. Rural Energy for America Program Renewable Energy Systems & Energy Efficiency Improvement Guaranteed Loans & GrantsThis program provides guaranteed loan financing and grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses for renewable energy systems or to make energy efficiency improvements. Agricultural producers may also apply for new energy efficient equipment and new system loans for agricultural production and processing.Applications due March 31, 2023, to apply contact one of our local USDA Service Centers! Small Business Resources2023 Growth Accelerator Fund CompetitionThe U.S. Small Business Administration announced that the 2023 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition (GAFC) application portal is now open!
