Team, I’ve talked before about how one of the reasons I ran for Congress was to protect our democracy from the threat of right-wing extremism.

But I’ve got to be honest — seeing that extremism up close and personal has been pretty alarming.

I was on the House floor when Marjorie Taylor Greene and other Republicans heckled President Biden for saying the GOP wants to cut Social Security — something they’ve repeatedly threatened to do.

I’ve heard awful attacks against LGBTQ+ Americans.

And I’ve seen them passionately speak about their agenda to block abortion access.

Team, as a representative for Colorado, I promise you that I will continue to fight back against extremism. And I’ll defend our democracy, just as the people of our community sent me to Washington to do — but I can’t do it alone.
