If you've opened an email from us recently, you know that the Trump-Pence administration is putting health care for millions of patients at risk by attacking Title X, the nation's program dedicated to providing affordable birth control and other forms of reproductive health care to people with low incomes.

The administration's attacks are complex, and go beyond Title X. What you need to know is that we have a president and vice president who are willing to risk people's lives to score political points with a small but extremely influential base of voters. These voters want to shut down Planned Parenthood health centers and ban abortion everywhere, period. Reproductive health champions in Congress are pushing legislation that would protect Title X and the patients who rely on it from the Trump-Pence administration’s attacks. They need our help — your help! — to make sure their colleagues support this legislation and settle this issue once and for all.

Members of Congress are heading home for the August recess to meet with their constituents and kick-off campaigns for reelection next year. I'm looking at the ambitious plans my colleagues have crafted for getting in front of these lawmakers — plans for organizing grassroots activists in communities across the country to show up at town halls and make their voices heard, for engaging journalists and social media influencers to shine a much-needed light on this threat and the very real patients whose care is at risk, and so much more. I'm excited, impressed, and ready to FIGHT.

But part of my job is making sure we have the resources necessary to carry out these plans — to fight and win. After crunching the numbers, it's clear we need to raise another $30,000 before the end of this month. So, that's our goal for the next 24 hours — to inspire you and other Planned Parenthood Action Fund supporters to come together, pitch in, and help us reach our goal.
