Hi John -- I hope I’m not interrupting your evening, but we got some pretty worrisome news today that I needed to share with you.

Today, the Washington GOP establishment launched an attack ad against me that is downright dishonest and misleading.

I’ll be honest -- we didn’t expect them to start attacking us so early. But it proves how serious they are about beating us in this toss-up district, and undoing everything we’ve fought so hard for.

The attack ad tries to label me a “socialist” for voting to pass the biggest anti-corruption bill to come to Congress in DECADES. I’m proud of my vote for this bill -- it’ll shine a light on dark money in our elections, will cut down the power and influence of lobbyists, and will bring more transparency all around.

I was elected to shake up the politics-as-usual out of Washington, and I’m working hard to do exactly that. This bill is still one of the most important steps to reach that goal.

It’s infuriating to see the Washington establishment fight so hard to keep the culture of corruption alive and well.
