The Nottingham City Council team of the D2N2 Growth Hub, sitting within Economic Development is seeking to recruit an experienced, target driven, team player to an Account Manager position on a 22 hour per week, Fixed Term basis to March 2021.

The role will lead on the project management and delivery of support to the B Global Business Network aimed at Businesses of African Heritage. This role will be critical in supporting Nottingham?s Growth Plan and helping businesses to invest in the city and its people.?

The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting Nottingham City based Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from Nottingham?s African Heritage, BAME and diverse communities. By identifying SMEs who are already experiencing growth or who have growth potential, and proactively working with these businesses to ensure that they are accessing all available support in overcoming barriers to growth and in reaching their full growth potential.

This will reduce the barriers for Nottingham?s African Heritage and diverse communities accessing support.

The post-holder will be required to proactively work with these businesses to increase membership to the B Global network, and ensure that they are accessing all available support in overcoming barriers to growth and in reaching their full growth potential. This role will be critical in supporting Nottingham?s Growth Plan and helping businesses to invest in the city and its people.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?
To apply for this post you must consider and respond to the following items taken from the person specification for this role:
  • Expert knowledge and experience of engaging with BAME businesses, particularly those from an African heritage.
  • Experience of a sales approach to engaging with businesses.
  • Understanding of the structure of the local economy, particularly the contributions made by BAME businesses, barriers and opportunities for their growth.
  • Experience in supporting businesses to grow ? account management, working to understand business needs and ensuring they receive the support to grow
  • Ability to work to achieve targets ? goal orientated
  • Strong communication skills ? 1: 1 with businesses, but also presenting, reporting and marketing

Carry out proactive and reactive compliance and enforcement checks in pursuance with each relevant legal requirement to promote public safety, including prosecution preparation and attendance at Court as required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?
