While the media has spent the past week focusing on President Biden’s State of the Union and the Super Bowl, Team Cori has been mourning the killing of Leonard “Raheem” Taylor by the State of Missouri.
Despite significant evidence that showed Raheem was innocent — and Cori demanding the halting of the execution — the state officials of Missouri denied him any shred of human dignity and decency. Our criminal-legal system should never take a life.
