I wanted to reach out to you personally on the first day of our February EMILYs List 2023 membership drive.

It's no secret that the 2023-24 cycle will be a tough fight. Protecting our razor-thin majority in the Senate, flipping the House, and keeping anti-choice Republicans out of positions of power -- we have our work cut out for us.

As the president of EMILYs List, I've witnessed just how game-changing early investment in campaigns can be. Our success in the 2022 midterms was made possible by the EMILYs List members who pledged their commitment to support the scores of incredible Democratic pro-choice women who defied the odds and beat back the predicted red wave.

As you know, there's truly no "off year" in a political landscape marred by our post-Roe v. Wade reality. That's why these membership drives are so critical, John. The earlier we can begin to pool our resources so that we can uplift and support races (happening as soon as this month!), the better chance we have at protecting choice for millions, defending our democracy, and shattering any barriers that stand in our way.
