In eight days, Virginians will head to the polls once again. This time, it’ll be in VA-04 to elect Sen. Jennifer McClellan to U.S. Congress – adding one more Democrat to Virginia’s congressional delegation and making Kevin McCarthy’s job even harder.

And folks are fired up to make it happen. They’re even calling it #jennergy.

But what have special elections in the past taught us? We cannot afford to take anything for granted.
