Hey team,

I wanted to touch base about our fundraising progress so far this year. Our first FEC deadline is at the end of March, and we’re about halfway through the quarter as of this week.

Our first public fundraising report is a really important one — it’s going to be viewed as a barometer for the success and viability of Tammy’s campaign for re-election next year.

And truthfully? I’m a bit worried about our numbers right now.

We’re almost halfway through February, and we’re falling behind where we need to be. If we can’t catch up now, I’m worried about what number we’ll post in our FEC report in March. Republicans will pore through our report, and if they find any signs of weakness, rest assured they’ll jump at the opportunity to launch attacks on Tammy.

Since this Friday marks the halfway point of the quarter, I’m setting a big fundraising goal for this week: $15,000 by Friday night.

Is this ambitious? Yes. Is this too steep an undertaking? Maybe. Do I believe that this team can make it happen? Definitely.

Team, I wouldn’t ask if this wasn’t important — can you pitch in $5 or any amount you can spare to help us hit this goal by Friday night? We need to get back on track to make sure this campaign is a winning one.
