In partnership with the NAACP, Groundwork recently launched The Organizing Accelerator – a twenty-week training, mentoring and networking fellowship program for emerging grassroots organizers, community organizers, campaigners, social justice advocates and civil rights leaders.
Now, we are proud to announce the participation of three amazing institutions: the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School, the University of Delaware’s Biden Institute, and Tougaloo College, each of which will host an in-person training weekend for our fellows.
We are excited to have these renowned institutions participate in The Organizing Accelerator and host the fellows this spring. Be sure you are following The Organizing Accelerator on Instagram and Facebook and visit us at our website for updates.
The civil rights legacy of the NAACP and Groundwork Project’s mission to provide resources in under-funded regions inspired The Organizing Accelerator to be a fellowship program designed by organizers, for organizers. We’re focused on providing training and opportunities to emerging organizers from historically excluded communities across the country.
Our first cohort of fellows has been selected for the program’s pilot year, and this group is full of inspiring organizers who are already changing their communities through engagement and advocacy. We can’t wait for you to learn more about them.
We’ll be back soon with more, stay tuned…
