When I first got wind of the ridiculous proposal to overturn the ATF’s pistol
brace rule I was madder than a wet hen. If the ATF wanted to stir up the
hornet’s nest, two words — mission complete.

The Biden administration’s rule subjects pistols with stabilizing braces to
regulations and taxes reserved for short-barreled rifles. This gross
misunderstanding shows a complete disregard for basic firearm knowledge and our
Second Amendment. This would drown sportsmen, disabled veterans, and millions
of law-abiding citizens who rely on pistol braces with unnecessary taxation and
regulation.

Senator Grassley jumping in here to strongly condemn the proposal to overturn
the ATF's current pistol brace rule. We must protect the rights of law-abiding
citizens to own firearms.

The final rule is not only a contradiction of the ATF’s past position, but it
reverses over a decade of guidance that gun owners have used to make purchasing
decisions.

The ATF is giving law-abiding gun owners a directive, it’s their way or the
highway, and if you don’t want to comply, they’ll lock you up and throw away
the key.


WE ARE TAKING ACTION.

From our first days in Congress, we have ALWAYS championed our Second
Amendment rights.

BUT — we can’t do it by ourselves.
