A decade to save the ocean No images? Click here Hi John January - ouch. Are you powering through with bracing walks on the beach? Or staying safely under the duvet til spring? Down in Cornwall, we’re cranking up the energy! Because 2020 will be the year we break through and save the ocean. Brexit is now certain to happen. No matter how you voted, no one wants to go back to the bad old days of filthy bathing water. We want to keep up with Europe, and do even better on ending plastic pollution and tackling climate change. But it’s bigger than Brexit. 2020 is the start of the UN Decade of the Ocean. That’s because it’s make or break time. A dying ocean or an ocean bursting with life? It’s up to you and me - but it’s going to take all of us. That’s why I’m asking you, your friends and family to sign and share the #GenerationSea petition. In 2020, we want to harness your power. Your passion, your ideas, your energy, your voice. Think what that means when hundreds of thousands of us come together. Or copy and paste this link into an email or Whatsapp message: www.sas.org.uk/petition/generationsea I’m going to share much more with you about our plans to save the ocean in the coming weeks. But here’s the bottom line: Together, we’re going to fight climate change, end plastic pollution and protect vast swathes of the ocean in sanctuaries for ocean life. We’re going to keep our waters and beaches clean and safe not just for us, but for our children and grandchildren. It’s called #GenerationSea because we’re the last generation that can save the ocean. I believe in us. Please help grow this movement by contacting people who need to be part of it. Please spread this urgent message by hitting 'Share' or copy and paste this link into an email or Whatsapp message: www.sas.org.uk/petition/generationsea Together we are #GenerationSea and with you by our side, we’re unstoppable.
