Pro-abortion “Papaya Workshop” will demonstrate abortion procedure for students at Georgetown University

Dear
John xxxxxx,
I regret to tell you this...

But Catholic Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. will be hosting a “Papaya Workshop” on Jan. 22 that shows students how abortions are performed.

According to Hoyas for Choice:

“A Papaya Workshop is meant to demystify manual vacuum aspiration (MVA) abortions, which are commonly used for abortions performed in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.”

How can a Catholic campus allow this?

Hoyas for Choice continues: “The workshop will be led by a doctor and abortion provider from the Reproductive Health Access Project who will debunk common misconceptions about abortion and perform a demonstration of the procedure on a papaya.”

This abortion workshop uses the papaya to simulate a human uterus.

And students learn how the basic techniques of a “Manual Vacuum Aspiration" abortion are performed.

In other words – this class will show students how unborn babies are killed...

With a crude vacuum!

Reproductive Health Access Project describes the pro-abortion workshop:
* “Using papayas as uterine models to introduce medical students and residents to the Manual Vacuum Aspiration has proved to be an excellent teaching tool.”

* “One meaningful way to model compassionate abortion care to students…”

* “Many students and residents are surprised that family medicine physicians can do abortions in primary care settings…”

* “…thorough practice on the papaya can advance competency with the instruments in a much less charged setting, rather than having the residents first learn on an actual patient.”

Don't you think Georgetown should know better? -- especially being the oldest Catholic university in America.
