John,

Property taxes continue to rise in Texas, and citizens are speaking out demanding tax cuts and a reform to the system…

The good news is that Republican legislators and elected officials in the Lone Star State hear you, and much-needed relief is on the way!

Last month, Governor Greg Abbott threw down the gauntlet, urging state legislators to use our state’s historic budget surplus to “provide Texans with the largest property tax cut in the history of our state.” And our Republican-led state legislature is answering the call.
SUPPORT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF TEXAS
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is at the forefront of this effort, and has proposed almost doubling the state homestead exemption for school property taxes. This would allow homeowners to shave an additional $30,000 off the taxable value of their home.

This fight is far from over, but everything is moving in the right direction. We need your help in order to get this critical tax relief legislation across the finish line this session!

Eliminating property taxes and providing tax relief to Texas homeowners is a central plank of our Party’s platform. Texans need help from skyrocketing inflation, and state and local governments can deliver by cutting taxes and shrinking the size and cost of government.

The Republican Party of Texas is fighting for property tax relief for Texas homeowners. Help us keep up the pressure to deliver meaningful and lasting property tax relief!
