** We’re Dealing with an Urgent Need!

Across the country, we’re facing a crisis. Homelessness and extreme economic distress are on the rise, and millions of Americans can’t get the services that they need to get back on their feet.

Meet Charlie. He’s one of the people that we recently helped to get an ID. Charlie is a disabled veteran who was referred to us by a local shelter. Without the means to get an ID, he was stuck in a cycle that would not allow him to apply for housing or meet the requirements of his Federal supervision.

People like Charlie contact us every day. They can’t accept the new job that they’ve been offered, or they can’t open a bank account, or they can’t vote.

The cost of getting an ID and the documents needed to obtain one can vary, but for someone who is barely getting by, that cost can be overwhelming. Here’s the total for a birth certificate for an unhoused single mother of three that we helped just last week.

The work that we’re doing can’t be done alone. We need your support.
