The clock is ticking, and the deadline to apply for Project LIFT is quickly approaching!

The future of Texas depends on the leadership and vision of those who serve in our communities. We need local leaders who believe in the Democratic ideals that we all know will push our state forward -- and Project LIFT is here to make sure we elect those leaders.

Our aim is to build a bench of diverse, representative Democratic leaders who embody our party's values and are committed to making a positive impact in the communities they serve. Project LIFT is an investment in the next generation of Democratic leaders running in local, non-partisan races like municipal, school board, and community college trustee offices.

If selected, the Texas Democratic Party will provide these candidates with essential support like political strategy, communications, digital tools, and data analytics, based on the needs of the campaign.

To be eligible for Project LIFT, candidates must be running for a non-partisan office on the May 6, 2023 ballot, be a Democrat with a history of supporting Democratic candidates, and be the only Democrat who files in a race or makes the runoff.

So Friend -- are you running for local office this May, or do you know someone who is? If so, the Project LIFT application must be filled out by Friday, March 3, 2023. It's quick, easy, and just might be the boost needed to push that campaign to victory!
