“Let’s finish the job.”

That was President Biden’s message to all of us in his State of the Union Address last week. He laid out our accomplishments with an unequivocal call to complete what we started for the American people.

Our response? Democrats are focused and unified in our goal to make life better for working people and families.

Here are a few highlights of what we’ve achieved over the last two years with your support, John. Together, we passed:

• The Inflation Reduction Act to take on Big Pharma and bring down health care costs for families.


• Our once-in-a-lifetime Infrastructure Investment and Jobs law to strengthen our nation’s crumbling infrastructure, reconnect communities, create more good-paying jobs and invest in climate and clean energy for underserved communities.


• Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act to ensure every spouse, parent or child is protected from domestic violence.


• Protections for all people to marry who they love through the Respect for Marriage Act.


• The most significant legislation ever helping our brave veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits via the PACT Act.


• The CHIPS and Science Act to keep America competitive and increase semiconductor manufacturing.


• The American Rescue Plan to provide critical COVID-19 relief, increase unemployment benefits and more.

While we’ve made significant progress over the last few years, we echo the president’s sentiment that the work is far from finished. In fact, we’re just getting started.

We must continue pushing forward. We must act now to strengthen our right to vote, protect women’s autonomy, save moms’ lives by addressing the Black maternal health crisis, make communities safer through police reform, ensure all workers are protected when they take time off for family or medical reasons, get working families the support they need to thrive, build an economy that works for everyone and so much more.
