This is going to be a historic election. Texas is the nation's largest battleground state, and by defeating a nearly 20-year incumbent who's propped up by special interest cash, we can send a strong message that Texans have had it with the corruption and dysfunction in Washington.

Thanks to this grassroots team, we're building a movement to WIN -- The Washington Post even called Texas' Senate seat one of the top 10 "most likely to flip!" But Senator Cornyn's deep pockets will make sustaining our momentum a challenge: He has nearly $11 million in the bank.

And since I'm not taking money from corporate PACs, I'm counting on your help to beat him.

Listen, I've never been afraid to fight for what's right. From flying rescue missions in Afghanistan to taking on the government to open ground combat jobs to women. That's why I decided to challenge Senator Cornyn -- because he hasn't done right by Texans.

I intend to run this race the right way, too. That means funding my campaign with grassroots donations from hard-working folks like you who just wish their government would look out for their families for a change -- the same people I will fight for in the Senate.
