Dear John,
The first step toward building something new is believing that it's possible. Over the course of 2022, our state campaigns of local advocates achieved 26 policy victories to assist students in recovering from learning loss while empowering families to find the education that's right for their children.

To accelerate the pace of change, we complemented this first-in-class local advocacy with complementary workstreams that collectively add up to a theory of change big enough for this historic moment.
* We invested in fresh policies and new voices who sparked the ideas and shift the conversation in favor of big educational changes.
* We partnered with educational entrepreneurs who built new proof points of what's possible in our education system.
* And we supported committed leaders on local schoolboards and in legislatures who served the public by putting the interest of kids first.

The 2022 CANnual Report highlights our progress in each of these workstreams, including the hundreds of new advocates we trained, the 1.5 million media impressions we secured and the thousands of children served by our programs.

Our new vision for American education started to become a reality in 2022, and your support and partnership were a critical component. Over the coming year, we'll deepen our commitment to each of these workstreams with the launch of exciting new programs and partnerships, but the same relentless focus on giving America's families the options and opportunities they deserve.
