Hi team,
Recently, I sat down for an interview at my old stomping grounds, WQAD in the Quad Cities, to discuss my first month in Congress and what’s coming in the months ahead. It was good to be home and visit old friends at the station where I served as senior meteorologist.
I’ll link to the full video below, but here’s a quick recap of what we talked about:

- Bipartisanship: My first month has given me hope that there will be opportunities to work across the aisle to find reasonable bipartisan solutions with some of my Republican colleagues.
- Committees: I made it clear that I’ll be an advocate for IL-17 on both the Agriculture and the Science, Space, and Technology committees, working to bring funding home and support our local economies.
- Trust: I’m doing everything I can to build on the trust I earned as a meteorologist and earn the trust of all my constituents by exceeding their expectations in my role as their voice in Congress.I’ll link to the full video below, but here’s a quick recap of what we talked about:

While I have you, I would appreciate it if you could chip in a $5 donation to our re-election campaign. My first term will go by fast, and we need to start building support now to ward off potential challengers in 2024.
If you’re able, make a grassroots donation today.
Your support makes a real difference – so thank you, friend.
