🌹 Tonight: Phonebank for Union Rights! 🌹
|
All workers deserve the right to unionize and bargain for a better workplace! But most public-sector workers in Georgia — teachers, nurses, university staff, and other government workers — aren’t legally allowed to collectively bargain or strike for a fair contract. We can't leave these essential workers behind!
Atlanta DSA is campaigning for Georgia State legislators to legalize public sector bargaining this legislative session and we need your help! We will be phonebanking every Monday through crossover day gathering petition signatures and encouraging folks to contact their House Reps. Join us at TONIGHT at 711 Catherine St. at 6 PM. Join us!

This roundtable will be an informal discussion on workplace organizing strategies, and what challenges people are facing in their own workplaces. Be prepared to introduce yourself, and share your experiences and advice with comrades on having workplace organizing conversations, strategies, and more! This event is open to members and non-members of all levels of experience!

☕ Support Creature Comforts Workers! ☕
|
Creature Comforts brewing workers in Athens are building their new union, the Brewing Union of Georgia, from the ground up! The company has hired an aggressive, expensive union-busting law firm and we need your help to protect workers and win the campaign!
ALL workers at Creature Comforts and beyond deserve a living wage, paid time off, a democratic voice at work, and transparent policies about hiring, promotion, discipline, and diversity.
Management at Creature has brought in an aggressive, expensive union-busting law firm to act as a 3rd party dedicated to destroying this worker-led movement. Management is already threatening workers who support the union with discipline and termination, and using manipulation and misinformation to try to divide workers.
Please consider contributing what you can to help pay for legal costs and the occasional organizing costs of what could be a prolonged campaign. BUG needs your help to win this David vs. Goliath battle!

🏥 Free COVID Testing Kits 🏥

Most of our organizing happens through our 6 main committees: Electoral, Labor, Education, Communications, Operations, and Membership. Click here for more information on each committee's work.
