The story of sea turtles in a plastic world…

A mama sea turtle struggles to safely lay her eggs because the nesting beach is covered in plastic -- but she’s finally able to find a spot to dig her holes in the sand. Phew!

Soon, the new hatchlings emerge, eager to get into the ocean for their very
first swim! Not all of them will make it, though. Many baby sea turtles will get
caught in the plastic debris scattered on the shore and will die on the beach before ever even reaching the water.

As the seasons change, the young sea turtles prepare to migrate south. Some of
the little ones don’t survive the long journey, though. They become trapped and
entangled in a barrage of plastic , causing them to suffocate and drown.

The remaining sea turtles are hungry and decide to feed on some nearby
jellyfish. Oh, no! That’s NOT jellyfish -- it’s plastic trash! Only one of the sea turtles manages to swallow it without choking to death.

However, not long after ingesting the toxic plastic, the sea turtle’s helpless body eventually surrenders. The plastic has damaged its digestive system and ruptured its internal organs. The lone sea turtle dies in pain.

This tragic story doesn’t end there. Once the poor sea turtle’s body decomposes,
the plastic in its stomach is released back into the ocean to KILL AGAIN!

Plastics endanger every single stage of a sea turtle’s life, and just ONE SINGLE
piece of plastic has a 20% chance of killing it. Now, take that number with the fact that an entire garbage truck’s amount of
plastic ends up in our oceans every minute. You can do the math, Friend -- the odds are against
these innocent sea turtles. Will you look the other way while plastic destroys our beautiful beaches and
kills precious marine animals? Or will you take urgent action right now?

[[link removed]]Plastic not only kills sea creatures -- it harms people and the environment,
too. In fact, right now, tiny toxic microplastics are seeping their way into our food, water, and air supply.

Even producing plastic has devastating impacts. Industrial plastic factories
release tons of harmful pollutants that contribute to global warming and pose serious health risks for nearby residents -- most often in rural, low-income communities of color.

Big Plastic corporations and the fossil fuel industry are profiting while
animals, people, and the planet suffer. Time is running out to STOP the PLASTIC APOCALYPSE. Sign now to END plastic
pollution while there’s still time left! >>
