Williams Weekly

Dear Texans,

Our current fiscal track is unsustainable, and with a national debt crisis worsening every day, it is critical we find a way to cut wasteful spending. We must start to manage our national debt like businesses do every day: lower interest expenses and pay down principal debt. I joined Bloomberg TV to address the debt ceiling, and my priorities to address it as the Chairman of the House Small Business Committee. You can watch the full interview by clicking on the photo below.

Gaveling in the House Small Business Committee

It was great to officially gavel in the first Committee on Small Business meeting for the 118th Congress. As Chairman, I intend to focus this Committee’s attention and resources on conducting rigorous oversight of costly regulatory burdens that are harming small businesses. Members are ready to get to work to serve Main Street and highlight the many success stories of our small business owners, entrepreneurs, and innovators from all corners of the country.

Speaking to NSBA

I was honored to speak at the National Small Business Association (NSBA) and share my priorities to support Main Street America in the House Small Business Committee. From $300 billion in new regulations under the Biden Administration to rampant inflation, small businesses are facing economic headwinds at every corner, and I was glad to speak to small business leaders who are advocating on behalf of our Nation's job creators.
